This is devastating for the most marginalised and vulnerable children\, including girls\, conflict-affected and displaced children\, and those with disabilities. \nThe COVID-19 pandemic comes on top of an existing global learning crisis. Together\, we must wake the world up to the education emergency. We are calling on the international community to develop\, invest in\, and track a global education emergency plan\, ensuring that: \n\nAll children continue to learn while schools are closed through inclusive distance learning\nEvery child is supported to return to school when it is safe to do so\nGovernments and donors invest in education now so we can build back better education systems\n\nThe Save Our Education Launch will be an opportunity to hear from global leaders in education about the pandemic’s impact on children’s learning and wellbeing\, to share positive global policy and funding practices and discuss what must urgently be done to ensure the right to education is fulfilled during and after the pandemic.
