1.1. The Asia Development Alliance (ADA) is an international network of national or sub-national multi-sectoral NGO/CSO platforms (NP) or umbrellas in Asia engaged in development issues in the context of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
1.2. ADA is a regional (Asia) network among members of International Forum of National NGO Platforms (IFP), CIVICUS AGNA and other NPs engaged in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
1.3. ADA is a regional space and process for policy dialogue with governments and international organizations such as the UN, ADB and other stakeholders on issues related to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
1.4. ADA is a part of regional civil society initiatives and processes such as the Asia Democracy Network (ADN), the Asia Pacific Regional Coordination Engagement Mechanism (AP-RCEM), etc.
1.5. ADA is a part of global civil society initiatives and processes as a regional hub or interface such as Transparency, Accountability and Participation (TAP)
2. Vision and Mission
2.1. Vision : ADA is committed to building a just, inclusive, equitable and peaceful community of sustainable societies in Asia and beyond where every citizen and people can enjoy all human rights.
2.2. Mission : Through effective communication, coordination, and cooperation, ADA works to promote and advance justice, equality and peace at all levels of society in the development -process in Asia, in particular in people oriented implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

3. Goal and Objectives for 2016 and 2017
3.1. Goal : ADA aims to enhance the effectiveness and impact of civic engagement and advocacy in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the national and international levels.
3.2. Objectives
3.2.1. Increase civic influence in decision-making and policy formulation in national action planning and monitoring regarding the implementation of 2030 Agenda / SDGs
3.2.2. Increase civic influence in decision-making and policy formulation in international organizations and processes as well as multi-stakeholder partnerships regarding the implementation of 2030 Agenda / SDGs
3.2.3. Enhance effectiveness in representation and coordination among Asian NPs at international level (regional and global)
3.2.4. Strengthen leadership capacity for effective advocacy and campaign through the human rights-based approach to development (HRBA)
