The Voluntary National Reviews, Follow Up, Monitoring and Accountability Processes on the 2030 Agenda provide opportunities for sharing successes, challenges and lessons learned to accelerate implementation over the next decade. They seek to strengthen policies and institutions of governments and mobilise multi-stakeholder partnerships. Since 2015, many governments have taken significant steps to ensure VNRs are inclusive and collaborative – working with a broad cross section of civil society. This event will provide space for open dialogue between governments and civil society representatives to talk about their experiences of successful partnerships to prepare VNRs. Key recommendations will be captured in a ‘VNR Tip Sheet’ to support organisations and governments that will engage in future VNR processes.
The speakers include Romeo Maduma (Zimbabwe), Narendra Khatiwada (Nepal), Shakil Islam (Bangladesh), Keith Andere (Kenya) and more.
